Moon in Virgo, Thursday, October 24, suggests that any success you wish to achieve, or legacy you would like to leave, comes about through the application of attention, patience, love, and discipline, while the moon forms a Mystic Rectangle with Neptune in Pisces, the North Node in Cancer, and Saturn conjunct Pluto in Capricorn. Discomfort with present circumstances and a desire for change is brought by the sun, newly arrived in Scorpio, opposing Uranus in Taurus. Resistance to anyone telling you how things “should” be, or your own expectation that you or your life should be immediately perfect, comes from a cardinal T-square of Mars in Libra, the North Node, and Saturn/Pluto. Before you end anything, give up, or look for something new, consider what you already have and what some of that attention, patience, love, and discipline can do to improve or restore it. The 800 year old bonsai tree in this picture is priceless and there are many more examples of other things like art, wine, scotch, and automobiles, that have similar value because of the time and attention they received. With a New Moon and Mercury retrograde in Scorpio approaching, think of something old that you can make new. Death and transformation are associated with Scorpio and its ruling planet, Pluto. While Pluto is supported by Mercury, Venus, Neptune, and the moon today, slow down and feel your way through decisions — especially final ones. If you speed by while chasing the next shiny object or bright idea, you might miss something deep, meaningful, or valuable. Will your day be easy? — maybe not — but it can be instructional and rewarding.
