Daily Horoscope: Moon in Sagittarius
February 17, 2020
Moon in Sagittarius, Monday, February 17, highlights the inexplicable and absurd as the moon forms a square to Neptune in Pisces, conjunct Mercury retrograde in Pisces. While the mutable fire sign of Sagittarius and mutable water sign of Pisces make some emotional boiling water and steam, the humor of Sagittarius and spirituality of Pisces mixes the irreverent with the fantastical. “Monty Python and the Holy Grail” was the first thing that came to mind when I looked at today’s transits. My search for a Python-esque image led me to an article at Smithsonian Magazine about knights depicted fighting snails — yes, snails — in medieval manuscripts. It seems that no one really knows why this is a common theme, but theories include religious symbolism, social commentary, and medieval humor. There may be some things you don’t understand today, or little things that distract you from bigger things. You can rail against the lack of logic and complain about things that impede your progress, or you can look for the humor — or perhaps the hidden spiritual message — in situations and encounters.
