Moon in Libra, Friday, December 20, continues yesterday’s relationship theme, with a twist, now that Venus — the planet of affection and desire — has left the cardinal earth sign of Capricorn and entered the fixed air sign of Aquarius. Venus is square to Uranus in Taurus, indicating one or more relationships in your life are ready for change, and could be changing even if you are not ready. Venus has shifted from a more traditional sign that upholds commitment and cares about respectability and reputation, to a sign that is more freedom-oriented, non-traditional, and doesn’t always care what others think when expressing one’s self. With the moon forming a square to Saturn conjunct Pluto in Capricorn, some pain may accompany changes, especially if promises or agreements are broken. The moon forms a nebulous, yearning, potentially bittersweet, quincunx to Neptune in Pisces, and the feeling of knowing what you want, but not being sure if you are ready, or meant to have it, continues from yesterday. But the releasing energy today’s aspects offer can work to your advantage. There comes a point in the manifestation process where you have to let go, give up, and no longer reach and grasp in order to enter the receiving state. If you find yourself overly attached to any person or thing, your expectations may be creating resistance. The moon in Libra sextile to Mercury in Sagittarius supports a positive, open mindset, and keeps civility and friendship in any relationship a priority. While Venus imparts friendly Aquarian energy, as well, analyze the dynamics of your relationships and work on improving the friendship, which is the best base for any enduring partnership.
