Daily Horoscope: Moon in Gemini
October 18, 2019
Moon in Gemini, Friday, October 18, demonstrates the power of your feelings and thoughts to influence yourself or others to believe something, whether it is true or not. The moon sets up a potent Yod aspect pattern with Mercury and Venus in Scorpio, and Saturn and Pluto in Capricorn, while also creating an opposition to Jupiter in Sagittarius, which divides the Yod. The Yod made me think of the timeless power of Shakespeare’s writing to reflect human emotion and portray relationships, so I went in search of a portrait of him. The painting of Shakespeare you see here is actually not Shakespeare, but it was presented as Shakespeare and presumed to be Shakespeare, and even after being examined and determined to be possibly two different men, the painting of Shakespeare/not Shakespeare hangs in Folger Shakespeare Library. So what does that have to do with today’s energy patterns? A good question to ask yourself is whether you want to know the real truth or would you rather see your version of reality? The word “provenance” comes to mind as well. While the moon and Jupiter are disrupting the fixed, stubborn, all-or-nothing Scorpio planets, and the cardinal, controlling, authoritative, Capricorn planets by way of the mutable, ambivalent, insincere, and opportunistic opposition, check the authenticity or validity of anything being sold or presented. The moon/Jupiter opposition is part of a mutable T-square that pulls in the fantastical, wishful-thinking shadow of Neptune, increasing gullibility. Romantic thoughts and sexual desire brought by Mercury/Venus trine Neptune, increases dating activity, but tonight’s prince could be tomorrow’s frog.
