Moon in Cancer, Tuesday, March 31, calls for a break in the home routine as the moon squares the sun conjunct Chiron in Aries, forms a sextile to Uranus in Taurus, and an aspect to Mars conjunct Saturn in Aquarius. Adhering to a work schedule can be difficult when physically restless aspects dominate and a trine between Venus in Taurus and Jupiter conjunct Pluto in Capricorn wants to have some serious fun as an antidote to stress and fear. A major energy shift occurs today with Mars leaving the cardinal earth sign of Capricorn to enter the fixed air sign of Aquarius, joining Saturn in Aquarius. Mars is a planet of action and Saturn is a planet that makes things real and establishes foundations. While both these planets spend time together in a sign of social awareness and change, more people will understand the seriousness of the pandemic, and actions will be more decisive. Under the Aquarius influence, technology and science will influence the public more than politicians. Uranus, the planet of change, is in slow Taurus, squaring impulsive Mars and steady Saturn in future oriented Aquarius, offering an odd mix of conservative and radical energy, creating the need to respond under pressure without the luxury of time. This may be the trigger that brings medical breakthroughs in response to COVID-19. Parents teaching kids might want to make this a “PE” day of physical activity and play. Anyone staying safe at home will feel better after a good workout. Burn some calories, because a Cancer moon transit often activates emotional eating.
